myself and aga played an acoustic show at the Red Dot Arts Fair on Tottenham Court Road last saturday...it turned out to be a really enjoyable set and we have decided to play more acoustic shows where it will be a stripped down version of the Riff Raff...so me on guitarpercussionvocals - aga and olivia on cello..our next acoustic performance is at the Slaughtered Lamb on the 15th of December..this is a beautiful venue and great for acoustic shows.
last night the riff raff then LEFT played down at The Fly....we started with 5 songs from The Triumphant and then the Riff Raff made way for our first gig with LEFT.we played 4 songs, 3 of which have been recorded...we enjoyed the experience so much so that the next gig at the Metro on Oxford Street on the 21st of november will be played with the same format of the Riff Raff first with LEFT to followwith the possibility of new songs on both sides of the sets...
ok we have been selling the cd's really well at the shows.and are weighing up getting a new batch pressed up.be sure to snap the last load up on our website or at a show.more to follow soon.........

just a quick blog to say the single "the forgiven and the forgotten" is now available to buy from itunes and all good digital platforms.//
a remix of "the forgiven and the forgotten" is the b-side(if you can call it that now??) ...
we are headlining the fly this coming monday(20th october) so please come on by../
my band "LEFT" went away to record 3 songs in leeds..and the songs are being mixed as i type../so keep checking out www.myspace.com/leftbanduk we had a really productive time up north and we have decided to play a few songs at "the fly" for a taster of what is soon to come!! this will be one of the only times we will mix the vaughan king and his riff raff with the more heavy stuff of "LEFT" as the two bands are separate entities.../..///
ok one last thing, the producer of "the triumphant" and the new "LEFT" EP has just released a new album: David Lawrie - Liars, Charlatans, Jinxmongers (for voice and accompaniment) its a fine album and for me one of the great concept albums of the year..you can buy it from - www.davidlawrie.co.uk - please do as it deserves a listen./

Firstly we have secured a review in Kerrang magazine, which is in this week’s edition (13th september). It’s a really positive review and we managed to get a 4 out of 5 star rating.....try and grab a copy at your local newsagents.
Next Friday the band and myself are playing at the water rats theatre which is located in kings cross..we go on at 9pm sharp. come on down and we will be selling the last batch of cds we have available before and after the gig
Last month i visited australia for a couple of weeks and had a really productive time...writing songs and seeing some amazing things, including the great barrier reef.
The last thing i wanted to touch on, is the annoucement that this week my new band (separate to solo stuff), who are called “LEFT”, are starting to record our first ep next week with the lovely Mr David Lawrie and hope to be playing our first official gig by early to mid december.i am realy excited about this as the songs we have been piecing together in the practise room have really taken an interesting shape./we have a very primitive myspace(updates soon to happen) at www.myspace.com/leftbanduk some new songs will be up in a few weeks or so..so keep an eye out./

First of all/.//thank you for all the emails and myspace messages people have been sending me, I am generally overwhelmed at the response "The Triumphant" is receiving.
Secondly I have some interesting things in the pipeline that I can't quite reveal now, but will tell all in the coming months.
Finally I play "The Fly" which lies on 36-38 New Oxford Street on the 7th of August. I have decided to play "The Triumphant" in its entirety, this is the one and only time I will do this, so try and make it down.

Thanks to everyone who came down last friday to the Dublin Castle.
Hope you all enjoyed the gig. We sold out of CDs that night, so for
those of you who were unable to purchase one then don't hesitate to

There's a short break until the official release of the album in June,
so we're practicing and getting ready for the launch.
